Federal Acquisition Data and Systems Subject Matter Expert
The Position:
We are seeking a highly experienced Federal Acquisition Data and Systems Subject Matter Expert to support GSA's acquisition programs and data systems. This role focuses on ensuring system interoperability and enhancing the quality and accessibility of acquisition data. Key responsibilities include:- Leverage federal procurement data and systems expertise to improve accessibility and usability of government-wide data.
- Collaborate with GSA and other agencies to refine and scale shared acquisition tools like the Procurement Co-Pilot.
- Lead requirements elicitation and analysis by engaging with stakeholders across federal agencies to identify, document, and validate business and technical needs for acquisition data systems.
- Share clear, actionable system requirements that align with federal data standards, technical feasibility, policy mandates, and operational goals.
- Develop data governance frameworks to ensure data quality, security, and interoperability across federal systems.
- Identify and pilot emerging technologies and methodologies to enhance acquisition data management.

- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as Information Systems, Public Administration, or Business Administration. Master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in federal acquisition, procurement systems, or data governance roles, with at least 3 years working with or within GSA or on GSA-managed acquisition platforms.
- Demonstrated expertise in GSA acquisition systems such as eBuy, GSA Advantage!, FAS systems, and GSA’s Integrated Award Environment (IAE).
- Deep understanding of federal acquisition data standards and GSA-specific data reporting requirements.
- Proficiency in data integration, ETL pipelines, and data quality assurance for systems like FPDS, SAM.gov, and FASt Lane.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to brief senior GSA leadership and cross-agency stakeholders.
- Proven ability to mentor junior analysts and acquisition professionals in GSA-specific systems and processes.
- Proven ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and deliver results efficiently.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills in a dynamic environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

The Location:
Censeo Consulting Group is based in Washington D.C., a fantastic city for working professionals. We work in a hybrid setting with flexibility to work from home and work in our office conveniently located in the heart of downtown, just a few blocks away from the White House. And with many of our clients also based in D.C., we have the luxury of leaving for a meeting and being back in the office in time for post-work happy hours, team dinners, and game nights.
The Fine Print:
- The salary range for this role is $120,000-$180,000 depending on experience
- Expected travel 0-10%; may increase based on business needs
- This is a full-time, exempt position.
- This role is subject to a hybrid work schedule in the Washington D.C.
- Essential Physical Functions
- Sitting: Particularly for sustained periods of time
- Light Carrying: Physically transporting items weighing less than 15 pounds from one location to another
